Details of Events:

Here is a sampling of the sessions we are working on...

Body Painting—paints, inks, tattoos, etc. set up for a do-it-yourself (or do it to a friend!), come and go activity. Will need one or two volunteers to host the room, just to be there and keep an eye on things. I will help out here.

Laguna del Sol—the Naturist resort in Wilton. They will probably want a projector.

Dirty Minds—this is a group game of definition-guessing. I will host if we don’t get a volunteer. I have the game.

Joke Off—Will need a host.

Carnelli—always seems popular or we can do charades or a different game or activity. Need host.

Gastric Bypass—Doug Lewis is Rod Bradley’s friend you mentioned from your meeting discussion. He has already confirmed. He had the surgery himself and is very happy with the result. He will be telling his experiences.

Socially Responsible Investing and Spending—John Wallace is a developer and business investor. He will give information on what to look for and how to research who you invest in and what you purchase.

Old West/Outlaws—this one is a 3rd person contact. The probable speaker is a historian or professor, exact topic is not nailed down. Supposed to have that info within a week.

Beating IRS—Colin Knight spoke to SRM years ago when we were having The Salon. He is an IRS Enrolled Agent for Tax Tiger Inc. (tax-tiger.com)

Purses Fundraiser—this one is not absolutely confirmed. She did call me and give a tentative OK on the date. A sister team that makes gorgeous purses and bags and will give SRM a percentage of the sales.

Homeopathy and Alternative Medicines—Gloria is a practitioner and lecturer in various alternative medical fields.

Beer Tasting—Joe Perfecto will do this presentation. Estimated expense is $50.

Fully Informed Jury Association—Jury members have rights that the judges and prosecutors don’t want you to know. This speaker will tell us about them.

Middle East Politics—also a 3rd person confirmed speaker, so I consider it iffy until I have personally been in contact with him. Should happen in the next couple of weeks.

Gumdrops and Toothpicks—a drop-in activity to build a structure or piece of art. Prizes for various categories.

Sexual Bonding—interesting theory, supposedly research based, regarding the psychological and emotional bonds that are created and affect our future relationships and ability to re-bond.

Sweet Treats Contest—if Joan still wants to do this. Or we’ll go back to the mustard tasting. Will need a host for mustard.

Frozen Tshirt Contest—I will host this cool contest, pun intended. Will have signups and limit to about 10 suckers, I mean contestants. Tshirts are soaked and folded and frozen in advance, then distributed to the contestants who are timed—winner is the first one to get the tshirt open and on. Might have to do this outside by the pool.

Irene Spencer—the author and former Morman plural wife.

Morning Walk (or other exercise activity)—needs a host

Hot Tub Games—not loud rowdy games, needs a host

Chili contest—needs a coordinator

Game Room
Again this year, the game room will be hosted by Hugh Everett and his team of dedicated game fiends. There will be old favorite games, Mensa recommended games, and a few games from Hugh's collection you have likely never seen.

As always, you will provide good gaming companionship and friendly competition.
